Wisdom

Leaders and Executives

Wisdom is not a one-and-done proposition. Wisdom is like a spiritual meal that you’re going to need over and over and over. Wisdom is a God-given ability to gain insights about something and then to know what to do with that knowledge once you have it. As a leader, you need wisdom every day. Let’s talk about wisdom and in the interim, look over some of the items below and expect that something is going to provide the spark that will set your leadership on fire.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.
He will not rebuke you for asking.

~ James 1:5 (NLT)

The page is called Wisdom. Why? Because with some effort, it is possible to gain wisdom and use that wisdom for doing great things. With some effort, it’s possible to continually increase in wisdom, With some effort, wisdom can provide guidance for your life when it is most needed.

There are many different ideas, areas of interest, and thoughts that I believe will encourage you to seek wisdom and look for a deeper understanding in all of your life’s efforts. All of us only have one life where we can do what needs to be done for God’s glory. After all, the road to eternal life may not be as wide as we would like to think it is… but wisdom will help you stay on the narrow path toward eternal life. (Matthew 7:13-14)

The Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to those who are honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.

My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:1-8 (NLT)

Simple But True

Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are;
help us to spend them as we should.
~ Psalm 90:12 (NLT)

These are one-liners that should get you pause think and reflect. Most statements are original, but some are thoughts that have been around for a long time. The majority of these ‘simple thoughts’ come from experience, prayer, and reflection. All of them come from a deep love for our Christ and a desire to help you reflect on ideas from a different perspective. All of these statements have been written as a legacy for my children and future generations. I hope you’ll also find value from reading them for your own life.

The book will be available soon.

Leading God’s Way

God needs leaders at all levels and spectrums of the world. Your leadership may be small or large, it is all the same to God. Your leadership may be something that someone else may consider trivial or your leadership may have a huge impact. That too does not matter as much as your obedience to lead God’s way is the need in a dark world.

When you are Leading God’s Way — you are changing the word in some way, shape, or form. The impact you will have can only be measured by God. So, never doubt that your efforts are significant… because they are. Try to look at your impact from God’s perspective.

1 Peter 1:3 says, “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”

The following excerpts from the book are identified by a framing question. Each excerpt is 3 pages long and will provide you leadership insights you can use right away.
